    Liquid Cooled Workstations

    The Need to be Cool

For standard office and personal computers, the typical method of using fans and heatsinks for cooling is effective. However, workstations used for high-end gaming, graphics and video creation and animation are significantly more powerful and the heat generated by the power in these systems requires liquid cooling.

Air Cooling May Not Be Enough

Traditional air cooling uses a heatsink with a loud built-in fan that is attached to the CPU and other components, such as the GPU. This method causes the heat to flow from the CPU/GPU into the heatsink. It’s inexpensive, fairly effective, and requires minimal maintenance. However, there are conditions where air cooling is not sufficient.

    • A demanding workload that causes the hardware components to heat up beyond the capabilities of an air cooled system
    • The fans in an air cooled system are disruptive for the work environment

Traditional vs. New Liquid Cooled High-end Workstations

High-end workstation CPUs and GPUs are more powerful and generate more heat than standard PCs. Running at excessively high temperatures can dramatically shorten the lifetime utility of these workstations. Additionally, the fans in many high-end workstations run almost constantly, making these workstations loud and inefficient.

Liquid cooling moves the heat away from the CPU and GPU more efficiently. Matter of fact, liquid cooling results in the fans running at lower RPM for a nearly silent work environment. Liquid cooling the processing units also keeps high-end workstations at optimal temperatures so every component operates at its peak performance.

CPC Quick Disconnect Couplings (QDs) Designed for Liquid Cooling

CPC’s fluid handling experts understand the challenges of performance, reliability and efficiency faced by high-end computer workstation designers and users. Our experts know how liquid cooling is crucial in meeting these challenges. Exclusively focused on liquid cooling QDs, our team of engineers designed and developed the purpose-built Everis™ quick disconnect couplings and connectors portfolio for use in liquid cooling workstation systems. CPC Everis Series products are a key component in liquid cooling systems used in a wide variety of computing environments, including workstations. You can trust CPC Everis QD couplings to control coolant flow and maintain a leak-free environment.

Everis Quick Disconnects Engineered for Immersion Cooling

    Trusted Reliability

Everis’ range of seal options and QD materials are engineered to meet the temperature, chemical and pressure compatibility requirements of liquid cooled workstations. You can count on Everis connectors to withstand side load and tensile pressures during installation and support long periods of connections typical of workstation liquid cooling systems.

    Dependable Durability

CPC provides a wide range of high-performance quick disconnect couplings that deliver years of leak-free performance. Engineered for the rigors of liquid cooling today’s high-end CPUs and GPUs, Everis™ non-spill connectors deliver optimized flow rates with excellent flow to size ratio for superior performance. CPC Everis quick connects feature a valve design that is precision engineered for extended connection time.

    Multitude of Options

Engineers can make the choice that’s right for the system from a wide array of liquid cooling QD designs. CPC’s Everis QDs come in an expanding variety of sizes, termination options and materials including plated brass, aluminum, stainless steel, PPSU and other high-performance polymers. Configurations include blind mate, latched, straight and elbow connectors with seal options including EPDM, FKM and Viton®.

    Meticulous Testing

All Everis liquid cooling QD designs are rigorously tested ─ including materials testing, product testing and torture testing to failure ─ to meet product design specifications. As a matter of fact, CPC offers reliable, reproducible performance and provides validation reports that support the QD’s performance attributes.

    Straightforward Serviceability

If your workstation goes down or needs standard maintenance, CPC latched Everis connectors are designed for ease of access to system components for upgrades or repair. Everis connectors feature drip-free non-spill disconnections for safer access near the electronics. The simple-to-use thumb latch provides both ease and speed of installation and system maintenance.

    Connection Assurance

With a sleek body and ergonomically designed thumb latch, Everis liquid cooling connectors deliver single-handed operation along with the audible CPC click to assure technicians to know they’re connected. And, the Everis Series low force to connect makes it simple to ensure a complete connection.
